Almost got it 100%...I have had Eurasian Doves all Summer at my house. I sprinkle sunflower seeds in my driveway for them and now the original pair have grown to a flock of 24!
I finally gave up on trying to capture BIF with my Canon SX 700 that has no viewfinder for shots that are not pre focused & planned out. Like at my feeders or certain branches they always come to. I just could not do it for faster moving birds. So I borrowed my wife's Canon Rebel T1i. Right away I started getting BIF in my shots but Doves are hard & fast! This shot I like, I know it is not great but it is in the direction I want to go.
F8, SS 1/1000, ISO 3200, 0-260 mm zoom lens at 135mm. Very heavily cropped!

Beautiful image, Walt!
Thank you Swamp-Cork! I appreciate that....these Doves are very beautiful and I want to do them justice! Funny how you realize you got a possible great shot the instant you take it...I see so many perfect images as they come & go just have to perfect the technique now. I love a challenge.
When I first took a quick look, I thought it was two birds. Of course upon spending more than a second or two I realized it one beautiful bird. Nice going

Talking about special images Walt, in the Photo edition of the National Wildlife December-January 2019 magazine the grand prize selection is of a Bobcat which just snaged a Coot and is shown in its mid-air leap! What a shot, so if you can obtain the magazine it is well worth a look!
