Snow comes in many forms as well as morphing into ice crystals.
The meeting of these different types was worth a photograph.

Beautiful and well done. I expected crystals on a window pane. Have never seen crystals like these.

Very nice. I have a good friend who did this type of thing in b/w & UV using a 4x5 camera. I never went with him because I don't like the cold that much. In any event, he purchased a 5DR (the 50 mp Canon) and some good lenses and is now doing the same thing, including UV, in digital.

The thing that has always stayed with me about photography is that there are so many
subjects right in front of our eyes but we must learn to train our eyes to see them.
It is like the saddest saying about missed opportunities from John Greenleaf Whittier.
"Of all sad words of tongue or pen, the saddest are these, "It might have been".

I find your photo to be truly great and I feel the above quote (both you and Whittier) to be the essence of photography. The ability to recognize a great composition where others see nothing is a talent of the highest order.

Many years ago when we had a cabin in the San Bernardino Mountains of So. California we experienced "Corn Snow" or "Popcorn Snow" that we had never seen or even were aware of. It looks like its name, exactly. Very interesting seeing your crystals, they are new to us as well. Thanks for sharing.
