Ah, must be the officers latrine, new rolls of paper on all of them.

Army March 66 to Jan 69. They just sent me home when I returned from Nam. Not worth the trouble to assign me anywhere when I was getting out in only 60 days.

Joined the Navy in '54 - WWII coastal sub chasers (PC's & PCS's) just had two boards spaced a bit apart to sit on. Used an elbow if the guy next to you got too close.

I can imagine some pictures would be great for recruiting posters.

“Fond” memories - I completed basic training there in December, 1958. Winter bivouac was an especially unforgettable event.

And who remembers digging the trench for the 6-seat portable pit toilets, too? Or worse, having the detail to take it down and fill in the pit!

Was in Dix in 1960. "Accommodations" were in old WW11 Barracks and the floors were wood. You can see outside through the walls and heat was coal fired. Good old days??
