There are reasons to buy both http://snapsort.com/compare/Canon-Rebel-T4i-vs-Canon_EOS_Rebel_T1i so what is the reason you want to buy new?

If the difference between them would give me more things to improve my pictures I would consider up dating. I have onlt been at this for six months and trying to learn a little each day. Thanks for tqaking the time.

You can spend all the money you like, but it will not make you a better photographer. Wisdom states it is the photographer that takes the picture not the camera. If you want to improve your photography shoot everyday, experiment even when you don't know how, read and watch everything you can get your hands on, look at examples from those you like and above all ask questions here on the UHH!

Only six months in. Save your money on the new camera body. Learn to use what you got. What you got is so far ahead of what we had 10 years ago.

For the price of the camera get a good prime lens of say 85mm and learn to use that along with what you got

best of luck

I think they are 100% correct with the answers they have given. Take the time and practice, to learn to use what you have to the fullest and to SEE everything you are looking at before shooting. Learn good composition, focus and lighting. From what I have seen of the two cameras, there's not that much difference that would help a lot, because it's still YOU that makes a great photo (or not) with almost any camera.
Find the members here that shoot photos that knock you out and go to their profile. Look up their LIST of topics and look at their photos. See what you like that you would love to immitate and practice. You already have a good camera.

Thanks for your input. I'll work on getting better before thinking about up upgrading. I appreciate everyone's advice. Thanks to all of you.
