I just received a batch of calendars from Shutterfly that I will be giving to relatives for Christmas gifts. We had a family reunion in Downeast Maine, and so the photos are a mix of scenics and family members. The quality is good - both the paper quality and the photo reproduction quality. You can do a little bit of editing within the Shutterfly calendar creation software - like the sepia effect. You can also include special birthdays or events on the calendar if you like. A gift that will go on giving - at least for a year!
I also prepare desk and wall calendars, using the photos I have taken during the year, and share them with family and friends and family. This has become somewhat of a tradition and I always look forward to creating and sharing the calendars. I have used Vistapring to print them and have been happy with their quality and service. Thanks for your suggestion on a different printer. I will check them out.

And many members here use Costco and are happy with their services. I had Walmart make some coffee mugs a few years ago, and those were very nice.

At Christmas I send out to my friends a favorite shot of them on a coffee mug. They all seem to like it.

I just ordered a batch of calendars from Shutterfly as well. This is the first year doing so.

What a great idea. Thank you.
We recently took a cruise with my two daughters and their families, all saying it was the best time ever.
Our calendar will capture the 12 best moments.
Thanks again.
I get so many calendars each year it is hard to find a place for most. Make it a point to visit those you give them to and see if they are displayed anywhere. That will help you make the choice for next year. While most are nice, I would not be excited to get one and the developer may be the only one that likes those photos! Just my thoughts.
Very nice. "March" looks very familiar. I made some calendars about ten years ago using Kodak.

I know what you mean. I made some calendars myself based on a recent trip, but I never even put my own up.
For a one-off, you can use this online service for free. They offer all sorts of calendars, and you print them at home.

Interesting topic. My dilemma of late concerns the gifting of my photo book as a holiday gift. Similar to your concern. Living in Alaska has afforded me some beautiful scenics, spectacular wildlife, ice art and aurora photography. Something my family on the east coast will probably never see. Your calendar sounds like a wonderful gift!

Cards, printed from home with a certain person in mind, also make a nice hostess gift.
I’ve been using Shutterfly for calendars for several years. Very easy to use the website and really good quality. One of the things I like about Shutterfly is that I can put multiple photos on each page. So for my granddaughters birthday, I can fill the page with shots of her playing soccer or gymnastics or whatever. For months with no family event I’ll fill the page with a variety of family photos that I’ve taken during the year. It’s become a tradition for me to hand out calendars each Christmas. I looked into using Costco, but was told I can only place one photo on a page, and that wouldn’t work for me.
