Ah yes, the well known manually operated air bag syndrome...
Just about everything in life in now computer controlled - air traffic, airline GPS and auto pilot systems, the power grip, missile launching, food supplies, hospital information - the list is endless.
But it will take a little time to be as close to perfect as we'd like, and once there's a method for managing the infamous Trolley Problem.
Having just "enjoyed" a four hour drive home from Houston, surrounded by many idiots, I say bring on automation.
Or if not, let's "drive" some civility by removing drivers air bags and substituting a carefully sharpened but rusty 10" stake - might discourage the need for heavy braking.

Sounds like wishful advertising to me...
Cars have always been sold as sex machines...
It hasn't worked out that way for me very often....as a chat up line it lacks a little.
Now, a nice meal, a little wine and a hotel room....That works

Yes, so have I but it started at around 35mph and escalated as the car proceeded down the highway --- maybe 80 near the end!
