Posting early as we are going to be traveling tomorrow. I didn't go out & buy a turkey to cook since it will be prepared by the Retirement facility
where my 97 year old uncle lives. A group of cousins will meet there & have dinner with him. He is the last sibling on my Mother's side. Best
celebrate with him now!

Wishing you also a very blessed Happy Thanksgiving. Most thankful for my true love of over 50 years and good health for most of them. Will be cooking tonight for a large spread of many family and friends which we are also thankful for. Love your photos.

A Thanksgiving memory - years ago at our former church the wife of one of the elders got on my case for my habit of writing grocery lists on the back of offering envelopes. Shortly afterward she wrote down the recipe for yam casserole on … you guessed it ... the back of an offering envelope!! I smile every time I see this.

Had trouble posting this AM. Heading out soon. Thankful we have family close by - and that's just one thing for which I am thankful. Have a great day everyone. And for those missing family or friends or spouses this year, praying for comfort in the memories you recall - even though they may bring a tear.

Happy thanksgiving to everyone. We are having ours on Friday. Everyone is coming to my home and I get to cook most of the dinner. My wife is a very good cook, but somehow managed to get me to cook the last 38 years.
