Interesting article I have been around one person who used a speed graphic as his everyday camera.
That may have been the single most awesome photographer but, did you scroll down a bit and watch the video of the single LEAST awesome photographer at the Olympics? Watch in full screen mode or you might have to look a couple of times.

That's it. Talk about an "Oh sh*t" moment! "Damn I hope nobody saw that." No, just about a billion people. :D
Can't view the video. It has a message that says that it contains contents from the International Olympic Committee, who have blocked it for copyright reasons. Any way round this?

That's odd. The link worked when I posted it. I don't recall anything the IOC should object to, just a pro photographer trying to take a picture (several times) with the lens cap on. Maybe his employers complained.
Pity, I'd like to have seen that! How "Pro" is Pro, then! But I don't think the IOC would have taken it off because his employers complained. I can'tthink they would be bothered about that - unless he was employed by Coca-Cola or another major sponsor. It says they have blocked it for "copyright" reasons. Can you still see it?

No, I get the same message you do. If I find it somewhere else, I will post the link.
Got it! Here is a shorter and a bit lower quality version of the same clip. You get the idea though. Actually, it went on for about twice this long. I think the original clip was about 30 seconds.

Maybe the IOC complained because one version showed some results of a competition. In any case, that is the video above.
Well, it's hardly believable! But I expect that man has been going from early until late for the duration of the Olympics, and maybe is just very tired. I've done that too, but I'm not a professional, and I can claim age as an excuse!! But I really don't think I would do that for something as important as the once-in-a-lifetime chance Olympics! :-D Wouldn't you check your set-up before you even got into the Stadium? But no-one's perfect (surprisingly, not even me!)
