Grayed out menus in Photo Shop - work around

After the last upgrade from Adobe I started getting grayed out menus in PS when I sent an image from LR about 90% of the time.
Googled, found lots of people have the problem and Adobe is "aware" and working on it.
In the mean time the work around is open PS first, then go to LR and send the image. That way the menus and add-ones will work.
