Packing House

My local park contains an old company town. The industry was cranberry farming. The town has some old houses for workers and the foreman, plus a general store. Until hurricane Sandy came through our area, the cranberry bogs were still active and were leased and operated by Ocean Spray Company. There was apparently a lot of damage done to the irrigation system that the bogs are dependent on. Ocean Spray pulled out and the bogs are now returning to their original state. This is a view across what was a cranberry bog to the old packing house. I've taken this photo many times. This time I used an old Minolta XE 7 loaded with a new film I've found (Svema 64). The lens is a 45mm Minolta lens that I found in a thrift shop for twenty Dollars. When I got the lens home, I did some research and found out that this is reviewed as one of Minolta's best lenses from tht era. (early 80's ) . I think the photo came out nicely and I'm pleased with the very fine grain. Twenty Dollars well spent, I think. Comments are always welcome.

Interesting, and thanks for the words.
We sometimes buy Ocean Spray products.

Ocean Spray is very active in New Jersey and they have acres and acres of active bogs. Sadly, they decided to give up on this little state park. Thanks for taking a look.

That's a really nice B&W. Did you develop it yourself? It has wonderful tones and nice tight grain. I have a 45 for my RB. Can't wait to try it.

This was developed in my kitchen using Kodak D-76 developer. It is an "all around" type developer that seems to have nice tonality, and contrast. What's an RB. I'm not figuring that one out just now. (I'm sure when you spell it out, I'll have to think: "Duh! How did you not figure that out.") Thanks for taking a look. I like the tonality in this photo as well.

Erich, the "RB" is a Mamiya RB 67 (6x7 120 film). It's an old one.

I've never used one of those. I have looked for a long time at one or two that I've seen in used camera stores; but never took the plunge. My experience in medium format film is limited to : Bronica, Yashica 124G, and my Hasselblad 503c which can be a pain to use; but it does take nice photos. Thanks for the information. Have a great Holiday.
