joer, thanks for posting this link. It falls along lines that I take when posting photographs. All too often, I see on this site people expressing how they'd have photographed a scene, person, object, etc. I think we all tend to express what we'd like to see in a photograph done by others. This is a good article to guide the folks for whom it was intended. I tend to look at the technique, rather then subject, pose, composition (most of the time) not how they did the photograph, what inspired them to take the photograph, etc. Though, discussions regarding inspiration are interesting.

I work with kids several days a week. Unfortunately, this sort of thing is very consistent with their take on the things of life and with the things that draw their interest and approval. I think that we as photographers somehow have opportunity to undertake a mission to recalibrate their interests and tastes. Haven't yet figured out how to do it, though.
