This is a perpetual thread for all members to post images of moving ocean waters.
Another thread is moving fresh water (falls, rivers, & streams).
No HDR! That is another forum.
We request typical exposure settings to accompany all images, including: camera make & model; lens make & model; shutter duration and aperture used. Also, any situational info of interest.

Pommy - Where is this pier? Can you add a title to your image?
Sorry it's Frankston Pier in Victoria Australia on the Mornington Peninsula :)
3 different length long exposure ocean shots.
1/4, 30 & 120 secs. Not sure if the movement allows 1/4 sec to qualify as long exposure.
Let me know if I am required to remove it from the post.

For most photography contests, 1-second is the shortest time to qualify for "long exposure", but I must say that I like your crashing waves!
We will let it slide, this time!

Thank you LoneRangeFinder & Nikonian72. A lot of my stuff is done at the seaside after the sun goes down. Or with a 10 stopper, the mono of the poles is with a Lee BigStopper at about 2pm in the afternoon.

I had the first of these two pictures posted in HDR section but nikonian72 asked me to post it here as well. Thought I would add the second one as well since that one actually shows the water movement better. Both were shot in the same location on the island of Oahu but facing in opposite directions.
Each shot is a composite of 5 images combined in Photomatix.
Oregon Coast. f/22 @ 5 sec. ISO 100 16-85mm @ 31 mm
I like the misty look of the water. It would make nice artwork for an album cover.
