Washington DC hotel

I'm bringing this question to UHH 'cause there is such a diverse group of people on this site from all over the world in hopes that someone out there may be of help. Background: several years ago I spent a few days in DC, staying in a hotel that at first glance seemed a bit far out away from central DC. I seem to remember it located in a slightly industrial area, or business area, however, it turned out to be quite handy. I'd like to return, but have no idea of what hotel that was. Let me describe what I remember. I seem to recall it was a name brand (Quality Suites? or something like that), underground parking, also a parking lot out back. The train ran very close to the rear of the building. Walking out the front door, turn right and walk one block to the bus stop, which after a 15-20? minute ride put you at Union Station. That's about all. I know it's not much, but maybe someone out there can help. Thanks.....

Years ago there was a motel in the industrial area next to the bridge from Virginia into DC. It went through multiple ownerships and brands before it was bulldozed for a park and new office buildings. The area now has several much nicer and newer hotels. Use your browser to search for hotels in the Pentagon City, Alexandria, and Arlington area.
