The "rock on top" (dead center in the first of your images) is officially named 'Ham Rock.'
The canyon below Delicate Arch is named 'Winter Camp Canyon.' It is indeed a great place to recover slightly used hats, (mostly full) water bottles, the occasional set of car keys, and other highly desired sundries.
