Just looked up and got this idea.:) Do you think I will be taking pics of the grass and dirt next? The shots were from 25 feet to around 200 feet. And that is the big pine tree.

Hi Lois
Was just tired of chasing birds and bugs for the day. It started with my new chimney. I did it this spring and don't think I really looked at it till tonight.:) Then I saw the pine cone in the sun light and it was down hill from there. :)

Like them all, Erv. #5 looks like a Japanese Black Pine....???... I have one left. All I have left to photograph is grass and dirt. The flowers all hate me, The birds all fly away when I walk outside, the horses run way down to the far end of the pasture, the frogs go balistic and I think it was the cricket yelling "keep that stupid camera out of my face." I'll never know for sure. The frog ate him.

Hi Jo,
I just thought everyone was getting sick of my back yard so I would try something different. :) I feel the same way some times Jo, but for me it doesn't last to long. If the horses walked away from me I would have some butt shots. :) And I am use to the birds being shy. As far as the frog,,,,,,,, they always are a hard one for me. I have not got one all summer. I am not to good with Pine tree names, but I call this one a White pine. It is doing pretty good, but a storm took down a tree close to it and tore up the south side of it.
Here is one to make you smile. :):)

ERV, as bad as I hate to post a phot on someone els's thread, I just have too. As soon as these start to drop, I'll send you a big bunch of them! My red ones really look different, but the nut inside looks the same, I think.
Your leaves look a lot healthier than mine. Mine are drying up in this drought.

Jo, you are welcome to post on any of mine!! Any time you want. And I picked a good spot on the tree for this shot. :) The rest doesn't look to bad, but they are showing the heat. I have found a few small trees started in my flower beds. Would you like to try to get one started? I can try to ship it to you. :)
Erv
OH, I am only talking one that is about a foot high. :)

Erv, thank you so much, but I have so many different kinds of trees on this place that I have no room for more. We have given several of the size you mention to different people around here and they die soon after they plant them. Google says the way to get them started is to plant the nuts as soon as you take them out of the hull and to plant 5 or 6 together in each place. It won't be too long til there are ready.

Hi Greg
Yes it is neat how you can always find new things if you just start looking. Some times just taking shots of simple things gets you going again. I plan a trip back into the woods this weekend. I finally get a whole weekend off and Janny doesn't have me driving North to see Jay or South to see Tim. :) But then again it is still early in the week!!
