After spending a short tenure as one of the front page writers here I moved over to Salon where, for the most part, I write exclusively. I also host a podcast which has become a type of informal Trump University—except that folks are not s**mmed out of their money and there are actual experts who want to help the global public understand the disaster that is Trump’s regime. On my podcast I have featured many of the country and world’s leading voices and experts on Trump and the social forces which launched him to power. I will be sharing some of those conversations here at the Daily Kos on a more frequent basis.

David Neiwert is the guest on this week’s episode of The Chauncey DeVega Show.

David Neiwert is an investigative journalist based in Seattle and a contributing writer for the Southern Poverty Law Center. He is the author of numerous books including the new Alt-America: The Rise of the Radical Right in the Age of Trump, The Eliminationists: How H**e Talk Radicalized the American Right, Of Orcas and Men: What K**ler Whales Can Teach Us, and Over the Cliff: How Obama's E******n Drove the American Right Insane.

David and I discuss how Donald Trump, the Republican Party, and the right-wing h**e media instigate violence such as what took place last week in Pittsburgh, the "MAGA Bomber", and the h**e crime k*****g of 2 elderly black people in Louisville. David also details the various elements of the so-called "alt-right" and how its w***e s*********t politics are central to the violence inspired by Donald Trump. In addition, David explains the role (and dangers) of "scripted violence" and "eliminationist" language used by today's conservatives against their fellow Americans and the intentional violence which occurs as a result.

David and I also issue a warning: there will only be more violence as directed and encouraged by Donald Trump and his allies if the Democrats win control of the House of Representatives in next week's midterm e******ns.

During this week's podcast I "connect the dots" about the sensationalistic violence of Trump's "MAGA Bomber" to the barbarism of the mass murder which took place at Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh. I also share what may be a new concept for listeners of the podcast: America is a "pathocracy".

It is strange: Trump supporters feel they must rationalize and defend every i***tic thing he says or does--like they will be in trouble of some kind if they acknowledge any bad judgement. They should realize that every leader makes mistakes, sometimes make stupid statements for which they are accountable.
To find some small measure of fault is not shaming.
