Came down a bit before 8AM and looked out, no birds, went closer to the glass doors and looked up at the power wires.
Hello! This guy was placed to watch 6 back yards and make a choice from the breakfast bar.
Almost a silhouette with just a bit of morning light on the left side and most of the head. Bringing up the body feathers produced a lot of noise and killed a lot of the sharpness. Yes I tried a bit different PP on each to see if I could up the IQ on the body feathers.
Tonight I will mount the flash on the camera so it is there if I get a repeat visit. (guide # of 60 m so it is in range)
80D, Tamron 150-600 G2 @ 600, 1/400 @ f/6.3, ISO 320 picture #1 and 400 #2 handheld, putting up tripod and gimbal head and leaving it ready.
Beautiful shots, Jerry! I love the lighting and 'high key' effect. I'm not seeing any noise, but in case you or anyone else is interested, Topaz has a fantastic new noise reduction program called AI Clear. It removes noise and improves clarity with one click.

Thank you, the high key is solid overcast haze with side lighting from the morning sun. The noise/grain is there I just saw it larger during PP.
Very nice Jerry, good color, sharpness and detail... well done!

Jerry, awesome showing off your ability to get the photo in the worse conditions possible.

Great shots. I must still have a long way to go in both photography and PP because I can see nothing to apologize for in these. I would be jumping up and down and doing cartwheels had I shot either one of them.
Because I can't help myself I am going out on a limb and great photos of a Sharp-shinned Hawk.

Thanks a lot.
Around here it is more likely a Cooper's but I am not going to worry about it. Hel@#$#@%& a whole flock of crows just hit the feeders and cleaned out the peanuts I put out for the Jays and woodpeckers. I had to walk half way from the house to the feeders before they took off.
