A closeup from 75-90 feet.
Came down a bit before 8AM and looked out, no birds, went closer to the glass doors and looked up at the power wires.
Hello! This guy was placed to watch 6 back yards and make a choice from the breakfast bar.
Almost a silhouette with just a bit of morning light on the left side and most of the head. Bringing up the body feathers produced a lot of noise and killed a lot of the sharpness. Yes I tried a bit different PP on each to see if I could up the IQ on the body feathers.
Tonight I will mount the flash on the camera so it is there if I get a repeat visit. (guide # of 60 m so it is in range)

A bit later there was one large Eurasian Dove that landed on the same wire about 50 feet to the hawk's right. I got a vibe of "You may have the speed and power but I have the tight turns and agility. Not to mention being able to duck into smaller places you can't go. So I will just sit here and warn everyone where you are." A bit later they were both gone and the mob showed up at the feeders.
