Here are some shots of a juvenile bald eagle trying to catch Chum Salmon in the Chilkat River a few weeks ago. In many cases the fish were deeper than the water but still, success in not guaranteed. All were shot at 600 mm with a Canon 5D4 Sigma 150-600 Sport.
I can see them right in front of me.

They scatter when the eagle hits the water.

There are fish all over the river some almost in dry dock.

That's pretty cool! I wouldn't want to be a salmon in Alaska, everything wants to eat you.
