The photos themselves are great, but I feel that the use of frames was distracting and drew my attention away from the content of the photos.

Very nice images! And very good verticals! Did you do the correction in post or do you have a shift lens?

Great series. Reminds me of the sites I saw when my career in the late 60's took me for a week each month to beautiful Roma! I's going to have to dig out my slides from that era and scan a few! Thanks for bringing up some very pleasant memories!

My wife and I have been to that KFC while our guide went to the mosque for noon prayers. It was actually an interesting experience. Six college age young women were sitting nearby. Two were wearing western clothes, two were wearing western clothes but with scarves over their heads (sorry, I don’t know what the scarves are called) and two were wearing burkas.

Very nice images of the ancient city. Been there several times. Early Roman craftsmanship was remarkable, considering their use of very basic tools.

Thanks, My first visit. I was overwhelmed with the beauty, the grandeur of the structures, and the craftsmanship.

As hard as I tried on site I had to use photoshop to correct major perspective problems. For the most part I used a 10-24 mm lens and tried not to shoot extremely elevated shots.

I’d be interested in any differences you see between then and now. You were lucky to have had the opportunity to visit such a beautiful city that often.
