I have always loved the Kodak Retina series of cameras. They were superbly designed pieces of equipment. Pocketable and elegantly constructed. My admiration doesn't extend to the Retina Reflex series, though.
Such a terrific find! I hope you post some photos soon.
Just as a photographic prop, its worth having!

Babu,
A nice way to display a design classic. And she's still the star of the piece. The Retia's were the absolute top of the line in the day. My dad and I were Kodak bigots at the time and I, as a young teen, had a Pony with a plastic body REAL Glass Kodar (I believe) lens and scale focusing. Dad had a Signet which was below the Retina, but with a Schneider lens, coupled rangefinder, but I don't remember if there was a meter. I remember using a hand held GE meter and later a Luna Pro.
Thanks for posting, Ron. You made me remember my dad, who was in all ways a great mentor, photographically was the least of them, in the fondest way.

No card slots, but a dial on top that one can point an indicator to the type of sensor they're using.

Nice find, Bob. Those Schneiders are pds (pretty damn sharp). The burning question, though, is: does it have two card slots???
Jack, I've got the remaining amount of 100' of Delta 400 I'll be using in the very near future.

That looks awesome Bob, I'm sure you will get some film in it soon, can't wait to see some results.

Bill, unfortunately I don't know the type number, other than the IIa on top of the camera. If you know how to tell the type, please let me know.

Do you know which Type Number? There were five sequential production runs at five factories — two before WWII and the rest after.

If the lens is clear that FSLR will do extremely well ... if someone knows how to shoot.
Thanks, Bob. It'll be put to good use shortly.

The lens was the first thing I checked when looking at the camera. Clear and no scratches. Next, the shutter speeds. It all checked out nicely. So, it's good to use. It should be fun.
