As for the "Abandoned" catagory; I would lighten and/or lessen contrast in the background of the Car image, until the green leaves can be seen, (#1 in Hand of Man catagory) and move the finished image for the abandoned catagory,

A lot of my post processing is done in Lightroom. I use the slider bars to start my process. Take highlights down (mostly to 100% in inanimated objects and shadows up 100%) then start with white slider up and black slider down around 20% then adjust to how much I like. Clarity up and then play around. I use the brush tool and other to make individual area adjustments.
