Taking pictures of a LAWYAH'S wedding - suicide!
The letter sounds childish. I'd BET that the bride wrote it and that they have NO intentions of taking anything to court. She is bluffing! In the event that it did make it to court, my wish is that a judge would see the photos and JUDGE for himself how good the photos are. I'd just hope he's see ALL of them, not just the worst ones and throw the idiots out the door.
Now we know:
When people compare attorneys to snakes, the snake always gets offended!

Well, there would be a discovery and the fact that the photographer had the good sense to shoot RAW would be very significant. As far as I know, there is no way to counterfeit RAW images in an attempt to represent the original photos as less than what they were.
This is really funny actually. Could you imagine how long this wedding is going to last being married to a person like this?
This is no attorney who wrote this letter, if it is, I feel sorry for the firm who hired him/her unless they don't care about a reputation.
If this is at all true, this person making these claims should be prosecuted for extortion.
If all of this is true, then I hope the photographer keeps all records and facebook images and comments from readers and viewers of the pictures.
Yes, contracts are a must!

I agree...If I were walking down the street and I was passing by a "known lawyer's" house, I would do everything in my power to suppress a sneeze until I was well past the property.
Bye the way...so far I have not seen the words counter suit appearing in any of these posts. Does that not seem like an appropriate remedy to anyone else involved in this discussion?

i mentioned counter suing in an earlier post...
this is definitely extortion and by countersuing would end up if it did go to court being a total wash..that is IF it even gets that far..
Sounds like my ex-sister-in-law.
Photographer should edit and make beautiful wedding album. Case dismissed, if there ever is one.
I think that one of the factors involved is the words "I'm a lawyer" and I know the law and I can do to you whatever I want because "I'm a lawyer"
I think that the married couple has a problem right off the bat. It sounds to me that they are complaining that their 'wedding was ruined' by the fact that the photographer didn't take good photos. I just watched and listened to the video and nowhere did I hear the couple mention or complain about the wedding itself. I heard nothing of any complaints filed before, during or after the wedding. The wedding sounds as though it went off without a hitch and by the responses to the photos after they were processed and posted they too were quite acceptable to everyone involved. By the video narrators own words, he saw the photos and said that they were very good and also that the photographer did record the images in some form from the online site where they were posted.
And did the 'bride' have anything to do with this letter? She's more than likely responsible for this whole ordeal. After all, when is the last time you heard of a groom complaining of his wedding photographs? The tone of the letter will not set well with any sensible judge that hears this case. Threats made in any form, written or verbal, are taken very seriously by those in law enforcement and will not be tolerated on any way.
Although the photographer did screw up, by not having a CONTRACT, he will more than likely come out on top but not without some ruffled feathers.

I pretty much agree with your assessment in its entirety, and only wish to add one point: In my opinion, the actual lawyer involved here could easily be a very rational and responsible professional whose only real failing has been choosing a life partner based on the needs of a part of his anatomy other than his brain.
It would be really Funny if the judge pulls this lawyers shingle.
By the words and phrases used in this 'letter' I don't think he/she has a shingle. I believe they're using tar-paper.

Just a suggestion: Every REASONABLE effort will be made..." If you don't qualify the word "every," a lawyer can ask why you didn't have several more assistants, come to scout a few days ahead, shoot from a helicopter, etc. Those could be included within "every" effort, but not within "every reasonable" effort.
True, but peoples definition of reasonable may vary quite a bit also. I think if someone wants to sue you, they will, no matter what you have written. I appreciate the suggestion and will make the change :)
