Thanks for that Larry. Thoroughly enjoyed it , the music was great and I'd give my eye teeth, (if I still had them), for the collection of orchids.

Get one of these https://www.spytec.com/i-gotu-gt-120-gps-tracking-logger.html. You carry it with you when you're taking pictures and it logs where you are about every 15 seconds. There is PC software that allows coordination between the photo time and the location log that tells you where you were when the picture was taken. This can be a tremendous help when trying to remember what things were. It will also show a path on Google Maps that describes your travel, with the photo locations indicated. I've been using them since about 2008 and they're wonderful. There are devices to fit on a DSLR to directly input latitude and longitude into the photo EXIF, but those require that the camera be left ON all the time and that runs the camera battery down. I don't think such devices are available for smart phones, though, but they probably have their own GPS aps (I don't have one).

Thanks for the idea. That one is reasonably priced but out of stock.

My D5600 and my new Z6 have Nikon’s snapbridge, which can hook to my iphone and attach the GPS coordinates to the images. But I’m not sure I want to fuss with it.

I noticed I put captions on a slideshow I did a few years ago. I don’t recall how I did it. I know I can do it in Photoshop but that gets time consuming. I couldn’t find how to do it in Lightroom this time. I think I’ll put a highlighted map of the US at the start.

In a Lightroom Slideshow you can display the "Title" of your image, from your metadata, on the bottom right of your slide. This would be one way of showing what you want on a slide. I have done it on a slideshow I made of my wifes range of asiatic lilies. In that case I simply showed the name of the lily in the title field of each individual photo.

Travel in pics of the epic trip Lea Anne and I just completed. Departed Boise 9/16/2018 and returned 11/04/2018. 9,500 miles and seven weeks.

Some of the images need explanation. For example, Hannah Dustin was Lea Anne’s great...(7)...grandmother who was captured by Indians in MA in 1690. They killed her baby. One night she whacked and scalped the 8 indians and stole their Canoe to make it back to MA. That’s her house, statue, and ax head.

My purpose in posting here is to share the pics. Journey was NW from ID through MT to Teddy Roosenelt NP. Then N of lakes Superior and Huron in Ontario, and back to US at Niagra Falls. Then to Acadia NP in Maine via Moosehead Lake. Then S via Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway to Biltmore in Asheville NC. Then SW to SC beach and FL. Then back via Mammoth Cave NP in Kentucky, Lake of the Ozarks, and a blizzard in WY.

What a great trip! Thanks for posting it. A few places brought back memories, some others will in the future. I love road trips, though we drive our car and stay mostly in B&Bs.
