Boy, it's good to know that Nikon really cares.

Yesterday I received an email titled, "Thank you for registering your COOLPIX P900!" Well that was certainly nice of them, especially since I registered the camera about a year-and-a-half ago and sold it after about 3 weeks. They also thanked me and welcomed me to the "Nikon family." Uh, I've been a Nikon user since July of 1968, but I guess better late than never always applies. Call me cynical, but I have this nagging feeling that the email was somewhat shy of sincere.

I'm disappointed, but I'm not feeling the love.

Is that what they call it? I'd call it "WT* Management."

Better late than never? Or better never than late?

Could also be a fishing expedition ... I get emails purporting to be from several companies with which I do business. I never use links they provide but go direct with the known correct address and discover they were counterfeits.

I'm guessing it was a slow day in southern Chester county.

The word "glitch" comes to mind.

It's not uncommon for companies to send a little "Thank You" to customers, depending what they bought and how much they spent. A few weeks after buying a Ford Expedition, we received two "Ford Expedition" folding "bag chairs." That was a nice surprise.

I even get e-mails telling me that my subscription will be renewed on a specific date unless I cancel the subscription by using "this link".
Unfortunately for them, I've never taken out these subscriptions, so instead I forward the mail with its headers, to Apple, Pay-Pal, etc. fraud mail addresses!

I just bought a Nikon D500 camera and received the same message 2 days after I registered the camera online. So it was prompt in my case.

Yeah, I got one too. Actually had a good chuckle over the disingenuous corporate "love."
