I have had a few occasions to utilize MS support. My experience was positive. I found them knowledgeable and supportive.

MS sucks. My backup PC did an update overnight and is now toast. It is quite old and I know the cure - a new PC.
Now I got to wondering about my problem (sihost.exe Unknown Hard Error probably from the May update ?). I note the following -

1. I have never heard of a single user having a problem fixed by going to MS (well almost none but the fixes usually involve things like reinstalling etc that are so obvious anyway)
2. I know my problems aren't unique because 10s of thousands also report the same problem.
3. I have never heard of a single user having a problem fixed by any of these so-called MS gurus.
4. You never read about MS accepting that there is a problem and proposing timely fixes (timely means within a week or so rather than waiting for the next update).
5. The word 'service' now means 'wait forever'.
6. A serious update problem wastes about as much time as fighting a world war and takes as long to resolve.

Enough about my problems - I need to go and rebuild a server.

Windows 10 did an automatic update and I am now unable to see the task bar (I think that is what it is called). I figured it was just off screen but I can't find it. Any suggestions? This is the bar that normally shows up at the bottom of the screen but you can place it on any edge by clicking on it and dragging it to whichever edge you want.

In settings you can find this window. I think it can help you to solve you problem.

With all due respect, have you not followed the update issues with Apple's Mojave posted on UHH? I'm not attempting to "argue" with your post, but Mac's also have update issues. I've been running Windows since 3.1 since 1992. I installed Win 10 within 2 weeks of it's initial offering in July, 2015. I have had very few problems with Windows Operating systems or updates. To suggest that Apple computers are virtually trouble free is not only misleading, it is untrue. You may want to check out these articles from a simple search.

I do appreciate your loyalty to Apple.

I bought my first desktop PC the end of 1991, running Windows 3.0. I was about to buy a 486/33 when my friend, who had joined Microsoft told me to buy a 486/66 instead. He said “it’s all the computing power you’ll ever need.” We still laugh about it ‘til this day! BTW, I spent $4,000 + for that system.
