Hi, I'm fairly new, read the topics daily. I'm from Bath, UK.
I've had a Panasonic FZ150 for some months, it's great,
but I have a problem : I am unable to import RAW images into
PSE 7. When I try, it indicates that it can't do so as they are the wrong kind of file. I can do so into Serif PhotoPlus X4, incidentally.
Is it that PSE 7 does not support my camera ? ( Jpegs no problem
of course ).
Should I convert RAW files to TIFF, if so how would I do that ?
Am enjoying all the topics and fab photos.
Cheers,
Ernie :-)

PSE 7 may not have the converter for your Panasonic FZ150 raw file format.
Converting to TIFF will lose all of the value inherent in the RAW file format for post processing.
I'd consider upgrading to PS Elements 10 which is the current version and supports most (if not all) current RAW file formats.
Currently PSE 10 it is bundled with Adobe Priemere 10 (video editing) for just $99.99. That's a great deal by any definition.
Alternatively you could ask Adobe, but with version 7, I'm pretty sure I know the answer will be to upgrade.
Many thanks Festina,
I did search all over the Adobe website, but there was no clue
to my situation, also they seem to provide no means of sending
them a simple email, only faqs and a US phone no., I'm in the UK !
It looks like I'd best get PSE 10, which is a pity as PSE 7 came
pre-installed on my computer.
Ernie :-)
Thanks, I clicked on this link and in the list I found my camera,
however, I could go no further than this.
Alas :-(
Raw files were introduced in CS2 and there probably is no way to use them in
ps 7 Sorry your out of luck.
