There have been a few postings today, but I know I have seen many excellent shots from military cemeteries and memorials such as the WWII, Korea and Vietnam Memorials on the National Mall, even though the day is really meant to honor the living. Please post you favorites, even if for a second or third time.

Here's a local one from our little town of Sheffield, Massachusetts; another from Mount Greylock, Massachusetts, and another from along the Cape Cod Canal.

The fellow in the center is my wife's great uncle. The photo was taken while he was serving with Patton's Third Army after the Normandy landings somewhere in France or Germany.
