Very nice scenes.
Light meters measure white as gray so when shooting white snow some exposure compensation must be applied or the snow appears to be gray snow. Usually one or two stops increase in exposure will make the snow be more natural.
The cameras histogram is a great tool to accomplish this.

Thanks. If my wife had let me I would have tried MD heights.I have postes pics from the morning I ghot up at 3: 30 to do that. No snow in those though. Let me tell you is was harder on my Knees coming down than going up.
