Excellent images, and just another reason cell phones are destroying the pocket camera market! Thanks for posting!

I posted these images two days ago and for whatever reason they never made it to the daily digest. I am posting them again in hopes they make the daily digest so others can share in this fun exercise.

Was at the Nature Visions Expo in Manassas, Va last weekend and saw Charles Needle give a talk on creative iPhone photography. He is one of the most creative people I have ever met and it was really great seeing him again after many years. One of the things he mentioned in his talk was a lens kit for mobile phones. I purchased a set and ventured out to Lewis Ginter Gardens today to have some fun with my phone. Below are some of the photos I took with my phone and these specialty lenses. This does not represent all the lenses in the kit, but where applicable I labeled the image with the lens used. (Please note that I am presenting the basic function of these lenses and not necessarily fine art photography. LOL)
I posted these images two days ago and for whateve... (show quote)

Glad you reposted, Dave. I missed these the first time, and I'm sorry I did! What fantastic and fun results...and I also love your original shot.

This illustrates that good photography is not dependent on the camera!
Lovely and creative! Thanks

I owe it all to the specialty lenses, I think. Thank you for your kind words.

No problem. Not out of line with me, but I still prefer the original. Not sure why though. LOL

I think that phone cameras are so accessible that they are the favorite of those just wanting to grab a quick shot. I use mine all the time to read for me. I can take a picture of a label and then zoom in on the phone to read it. It will never replace my DSLR I don't think, but when it comes to convenience and just having fun they can't be beat. Thanks for stopping by and commenting Randy.

They're stunning, Dave! I believe Lensbaby has special lenses for smartphones too, but a lot more expensive than these.

You made me look it up CathyAnn. Yes, Lensbaby does offer a kit as well which has 2-3 lenses for about $100 but they are only compatible with a few models of phones.

I have some of the Lensbaby lenses for my DSLR, but think I will pass on the ones for the phone.

Thanks Bill. And from a really cheap set of lenses as well. Have a few more to post that I took today.
