I think that was a set up for loaners for one of the Olympics.

It’s a tease - first the question and then a picture of something that is out of context. MY “pleasure room” is the great outdoors and the pleasure is provided by my Nikon camera bodies and Nikkor lenses. But maybe that’s just me....

Lifetouch has a huge Burnsville, MN, facility where they service, clean, inventory, repair, and heavily modify their equipment. They have a room like that full of Nikons.

Seeing the Canon room should indicate to all of us that the reason we see so many Brand-X cameras at a sporting event is because those vendors are loaning out the equipment. People on this website and elsewhere are always counting the number of Canons vs Nikons vs Sonys. This room is another example, folks, that those photographers are not buying their own stuff---they're getting the use of it for FREE. And again, the news services are using equipment from the lowest bidder........
