One other thought.
TV in 1950. Very well off family.
Our first was in 1969 in time for the moon landing as dad wanted us to see it as it happened and it was a real luxury.
We never had a color TV while I was at home and when the original TV failed it was not replaced for about 10 more years as I remember.
We were not a very well off family, just my father was good at cards and pool table.
THANKS FOR THE OLD MEMORIES ON WORDS. I BELIEVE I BORN IN THE BEST TIME 1947.

Time is just one of the 4 dimensional cages we live in. That's where we were placed.
I'd ONLY go BACK in time - - IF I was assured of being able to return to the present. Sorta like Stephen King's 11/22/63
And as much as I'd like to slit hitlers throat, I for SURE wouldn't mess with anything that might change the world I'd return to. Look, Don't Touch !!
I do NOT fancy living without refrigeration or air conditioning !!! So - - WHEN would I go back ??
Sermon on the mount, Last Supper, or Crucifixion +3 days. I'd likely stay all 3 years + 40 days.
From His baptism through the resurrection and Ascension.

Other than that - living thorough the American Revolution against King George would have been amazing
Provided I avoided being shot by a redcoat - while being afforded the opportunity to blast many of them with my Kentucky Long Rifle.

I have people asking me if I would like to go back in time. As for in my life time hell no. I just make more mistakes which in turn would making live today a lot more harder to deal with. How about going back to the time of Civil War, no way. I was born in 1945, the house had center hearting (coal ) indoor plumping. My mother or father could get in the car go to the story to get food. As for food we had a refrigerator. We had radios. ( In 1950 we got our first tv.) What do you think?
Amazing how few actually played along at all.
Well, my family has a history of diabetes, heart attack and/or stroke. Medicine keeps me from dying of those diseases that go as far back in my family as I can trace. I probably would have had a sickly life after age 50. Plus I probably would have 10 kids instead of the two I chose to have. So do I want to live in another age? No thanks.
