I have had a couple of forgiving nights.

I intended to take some 1 second exposures for R,G,B but forgot. Consequently, these stars are way over saturated as well as the criminal halos abound.

60, 180 second Ha, 90, 180 OIII, and 60, 180 SII - Stellervue 70T - reducer/flattener x .70. ASI1600MM-C.

I processed in PixInsight - then combined SHO in PS using clipping mask on curves adjustment layers for the RED, BLUE, and GREEN channels then blended each channel with the "screen" mode. I know this would only make sense for PS users.

Beautiful, Ed.
Dispite any things "left out", or halo's,
It is pretty many light years from what I could do.

Mellow Yellow, boy does that take me back.....
Depressing.

I think everything is relative. For sure, 4 years ago had I gotten an image like this one I would have "wet" myself. I live in a community that has three other astro-imagers that I know of. Two of those are doing it because I helped them get started. They were in our Photography Guild. The other is in our Astronomy Club.....and he is not all that dedicated. So what I have learned....just like most on the "Hog" I have had to do on my own. Watching tutorials, looking at others pictures, experimenting with this and that. For certain, it takes doing that plus nights out imaging to make any progress in this hobby. What I did have, when I started, was an advantage as I am a photographer by profession. I know Photoshop I have been using it since nineties....since I went digital - I just trading one dark room for the other. So using Photoshop tools and following PS tutorials was easier for me than it would have been had I not had 20 plus years using the program. Still, there are a lot of tricks to processing that I am learning some help....some don't.

I know this - you do not have to spend a fortune on gear - my scopes are low budget - very low budget! I did upgrade my mounts - the AVX has proven to be a less than reliable mount (multiple returns but still a bust and non performer)....I have a very low in iOptron 25ZEQ and it does awesome - best PA scope I own....so ioptron discontinued it:) But the weight of my gear required me to get a mount capable of handling the load. So I bought the lowest cost mount in that category - the Orion EQ/AZ mount. I now have two of them - long story, but one I paid for the other was given to me by a friend.

My pictures are getting better - but they will not win any honors on Astrobin. None have so far!

Stunning Ed , you don't have to tell me about the low budget gear. My mount was dirt cheap, it needed a tune-up and re-grease and results are paying off but, a good heavy duty mount would be the icing on the cake.
