One can only hope. The midterm elections can bring about two scenarios: 1. The two sides will work together to create some compromises and get work done.
2. The two sides will continue to hate each other and continue to be at odds, thereby sending the government into further abyss. Let’s all hope for the first outcome.
The first scenario has worked well in the past, but I fear the big egos on both sides will prevent it from happening.

The landscape of the government has never been more divide both sides are children in grownup bodies and it will take years if not decades or another civil war to get the whiny, baby politicians to come together, the division started well before Trump and will continue well after him.

Put all the blame on one side? I think not. As a middle-of-the-roader, I see the actions of both sides as sorely lacking in the will to compromise. It isn’t all one-sided. The Democrat leaders are just as bad. It’s pretty easy to stand on one side and blame the other, no matter which side. We need to look from the middle to see what’s really going on.
