I did weddings years ago with film. Still have my favourite Pentax-A* 1:4 85mm.
You're right about me liking the 400mm f/2.8. I like to shoot handheld, especially for anything with unpredictable motion, only resorting to a tripod when I have to.
The 400 is a bit of a hog @ about 14b with the camera and grip. On the bright side, now I don't need a gym membership and am winning arm wrestling contests :}
It is a lovely chunk of glass.
