My husband and I met some pretty awesome folks yesterday at Malmstrom AFB in Great Falls, MT where we stayed a couple of nights in their famcamp. There are 5 people including 2 wounded veterans, one paralyzed from the chest down, who are riding 4200 miles from Seattle to Washington DC to bring attention to draw attention to wounded veterans and their challenges and needs when they return home. 2 of the 5 (in the photos) are riding with hand powered bikes. Their website is www.longroadhomeproject.com if you would like to read more about what they are doing. They were all very inspiring fellows. I wish them well and hope they make it to DC safe and sound.

Perhaps if we knew their route, we provide support, moral at least, and perhaps get a few pictures too!

Here is a website http://thedailyworld.com/sections/news/local/vets-embark-%E2%80%9Clong-road-home%E2%80%9D.html with some information from an interview they did at the beginning of the trip and you can also go to their website www.longroadhomeproject.com.that gives a lot of other information. I just looked and they don't have a map of their route. Their is a map on their support trailer, I should have taken a photo of it. Perhaps if you contact them you can find out their planned route. I suspect they may not be going through NY as they are heading to Washington DC and will be south of NY.

Thanks for the info. A rough map is on their site.
Learn something new everyday. I'm north of DC.
