Hi Wezza, I like the photo alot but the exposure appears to be rather dark and flat. Great subject though.

Your composition is all wrong, you should have taken the shot in portrait, not landscape, and you would not have chopped off the bottom of her legs, it should be more brighter, try cropping it, like this.
regards, Alf.
Amiee is beautiful. I might lighten it and bump up the contrast a tad.
Thank you for the compliment country mama she is a beautiful little kid, alf thanx for the opinion and I see your point on composition, I do however prefer a looser composition, thanx also to Nikron for the reply, one universal opinion seems to regard the darkness of the image, I agree totally that the image here is very dark especially when viewing on my iPad I think I may have to calibrate my monitor as it didn't seem that dark on my pc. Thanx for the advice and compliments guys

I still have the original raw image so will try your idea on portrait alf and keep the legs in this time :) as I said earlier I do prefer loose compositions but I also like what you've done with the portrait cropping so thanks for the advice alf

You just can't go wrong with a subject like you had. The little girl is so pretty.
I'd go with the cropped version. You're trying to show the cute little girl, not the bricks and door. To me the original was a bit dark and flat also. Hats off for asking for a critique. Doing that and keeping on shooting, is the best way to improve the quality. Good luck.
I, personally like your original composition but thought it was underexposed. Good shot!
I like the orginal composition but it seems underexposed to me. She is a beautiful little girl!

Re-crop and try not to cut her feet off.
This was taken with my 50mm 1.8 and after going back to the raw image it seems I cut her off at the knees in the original composition not just the crop (oops) depending on the light tomorrow I will try to retake this in both portrait and landscape with her feet in the picture :) luckily the subject is my daughter and it's currently the school summer holidays in the uk :)
Once again thanx for the opinions and advice guys and again for the compliments regarding my littluns cuteness :)
