There is too much distortion for CS5 probably due to the 15 mm lens and guessing a low fstop number. Go to lens corrections under filters if you choose custom all the lens adjustments show up. Hope this helps

Very nice effect, even if it isn't straight.

If it is shot in RAW and with a Canon, Nikon or Sony DSLR and lens you may be able process it with ACR under "Lens Corrections". Enable the "Lens Profile Corrections" and your lens profile may already exist or can be looked up on the web. It might not give you a perfect horizon and if it does the image will be highly distorted. This sometimes work for my Canons and Sigma 8mm fish eye.

There also is DxO Optics Pro software that might do the trick ($100 to $200). See: http://www.dxo.com/us/photo/dxo_optics_pro/introduction
I think they have try before buy. :D

Just looked at the EXIF data .... how do you like the MIII?
I'm impressed at the low noise for 24 sec exposure at ISO 500.

I just tried copying the thumbnail without downloading the original and in PaintShopPro x4 there is a Fisheye correction where you just adjust the degrees of view and is a few seconds it is done!! ($40-60 software!!).

After downloading original

You have highlighted just how spectacular that shot was. The 15mm fish-eye did nothing for me, but this shot has an amazing wow factor. To see lightning and stars in one image, really portrays just how fickle mother nature can be. Well done for correcting that image.

Personally, I favor the fisheye look for this shot. I don't understand why you used that lens, if that wasn't the effect you wanted. Maybe straightening was an afterthought after the storm? Maybe it wasn't even your shot?

I kind of like the 'fisheye' effect also, HOWEVER if you read the original post there was a comment about straightening it!! I had never done it for myself but found it easy in PSPx4

thanks for the reply robert, I just love the mkIII, the low light capabilities seem unreal , I shot with a rebel xti , then moved o n to 7D then a 5DMKII, and just got the mkIII.What a great time to have this hobby!!
