Beautiful shots of the Black Phoebe. They have become quite common here in Southern California, but 40-50 years ago, when I was "younger," I do not recall seeing them at all. I think they've expanded into an area that has plenty of flies, gnats, and other insects, their primary foods. They are cheerful and active and anything that helps keep the insect population down is welcome here. Thanks for the nice photographs. jak
