The Caravan
If the Caravan makes it to our border and tries to cross we can't let them in and we can't shoot them but here's what we could do. Use water cannons and CS gas. It won't k**l them but sure would deter their crossing. Drastic measures for sure but not stopping them is not an option. . Anybody got some better ideas on how to STOP them from crossing and not letting them enter the US illegally? Now before anybody starts screaming about the kids notify the caravan before they get to the border what is going to happen if they try to cross. If persist and use the kids as a shield sorry they put their kids in harms way not us. If we allow them to cross as the Libs seem to want to do what are we going to do with the next bunch and the next and the next, etc.

Might we try and understand why they are fleeing their countries and then seek to remedy those causes. The is one fact that is well known. Thise countries produce and supply drugs. Their lands are near perfect for Opium Popppies. How do we get those countries to change their agriculture?

How about putting Mexico's balls in a vice for allowing them to cross their country to the border.
It could be in their best interest to take care of this issue.

Why would you make a foolish statement like that? A neighbor who has trade interests may want to protect or enhance that relationship by disallowing the passage of thousands of trespassers to our border.

So based on your quote I would guess you think we should just feed, house and take care of anyone who crosses our borders? I don't notice any of the people who feel as you seem to saying " I'm volunteering to have my taxes increased to take care of these people but those who don't agree with letting these people in don't have to pay". Don't rely on others to fund what you think is right but they may not. Want to let them in then you take care of them but count me out. I prefer tp take care of our own first.

That's a good idea. Mexico has benefited enormously from being our neighbor. Time for them to return a few favors.

I do not pretend to over simplify the issue, but it seems that sending in troops or building a thirty plus billion dollar wall deserves more thought.

It does. Its too easy to slip in. Going through legal channels is not an unreasonable thing to demand.
