I never knew wasps were attracted to golden rod until a few weeks ago when I saw dozens of them crawling over plants next to the driveway - it's probably pretty dangerous to walk through a field of golden rod! Good shots, BTW!

Wonderful, particularly the final facing the camera! You might revisit this one and recrop to landscape removing the open space on the top and the strip below the antina. The details of the wasp are there to bring him 'closer' to the viewer.

I don't often see them in the goldenrod. This type, however, I see fairly often. Not sure what species it is or if it stings. Thanks for looking, Sue.
