My Luminance was worthless, so I just moved forward with the RGB. Took 100 - 80 seconds lights in all 3 colors.

Still Brian, that is a beautiful Bubble Nebula.
Just keep swimming, you'll get there.

How do you process your lum files? What software are you using to do this? I process the RGB for color only I am almost finished with the image when I add Lum for detail and signal management. If you are using PixInsight....I will send you a video and your feelings about LUM files will skyrocket (no pun meant)

Thanks Ed, I do have PixInsight. But I shot my LUM at 20 seconds, related to my other post to you. I think if I can resolve the other issue, this will all come together. I had processed the luminosity on its own and didn’t have much of any detail in it. I’m always interested in any videos you may have to share.

It will not upzip. Goto MAILBIGFILE and either add files are drag the fits file. All you need is my email address which you have. You can send up to 2 gig files free. Also, there is a part one and I will send that now.

Good morning Ed

I sent you 2 files, 1 fit file and also a screenshot from Nebulosity showing the histogram that I have. The histogram is what concerns me, normally I would expose long enough to just bring this off the left edge.

Your camera is producing a correct histogram for those settings while using the L filter. You need to be exposing your L' subs between 20 and 60 seconds. Take at least 50 and I prefer 100. Then jack up the exposure from 45 to 90 for R,G,B, and get at least 30 of each. I prefer 50. When shooting NB, Ha, OIII, or SII I start at 180 to 300 for all three filters. I have shot some 10 min subs but see no need to do that....I prefer more subs at shorter exposures. Now all of the with a gain of 200 and offset at 40. You will not be swamped in unmanageable noise.
