From a trip to Cuba

I took this photograph at the studio of a noted potter in Trinidad, Cuba. I have reworked it a number of times trying to capture the connection between the man's hands and the material he is working with. He seemed so comfortable and relaxed, doing what he enjoys.

It sounds like his expression would have been worth including. Maybe there's a bit too much focus on the hands.

Very nicely done, lovely colour and the composition is, to my mind, spot-on - I feel I’m standing by the wheel.

I really like this and I especially like that you got in close and focused on the hands and the clay. I'm sure the person is very interesting; but, for this view, we just want to see those hands and what they are doing. Well done.
