Street view above the house tops - 720nm infrared - converted to Black & White
As you can see from the date in the information graphic, I am behind in posting -- At the rate I'm going it might be a while before I'm totally caught up!

I have used an IR filter on a camera in the past. That involved setting up the camera on a tripod and not moving anything after focusing and composing with the really dark filter off, then putting the filter back on for exposure. Much easier now with a camera already converted to IR!

Excellent shot, haven't done any IR since my film days. I'm looking at getting an older used DSLR to get converted to IR. Where did you get your camera converted?
Love IR photography. Very well done.

Thank you -- glad you also enjoy IR. It is interesting to see scenics done with it and IR can also be useful for photos that are almost totally "normal" B&W.

I had the camera converted at Spencer's Camera and Photo in Alpine, Utah.
http://www.spencerscamera.com/ For one thing, it was approximately only a half hour drive away which was easier than shipping things back and forth and let me deal with someone directly in case I needed to. I opted for the fairly non-extreme 720 nanometer conversion, but they have several options available. I find it handy that the 720 nm version includes just a tiny bit of the visible light spectrum that can give some tonal flexibility in the B&W conversion later.

I had ordered a good used Nikon D90 body (not even a battery with it!) because it would be compatible with my D700. I first thought I'd just use my existing lenses (which I still can) but Nikon had a lot of refurbished 18-140 mm DX zooms available and the appeal of having the equivalent to 27-210 mm coverage and mostly just leave it on the D90 seemed like a good thing to do. So far, everything is working just fine.

Thanks for the info and link. Currently looking for a good used Canon older model maybe an SL1 to get converted. Have plenty of glass, so that is a plus I really just need a body. I don't want to convert my 7D or 7DII
