If we look at the field of vision of one eye it is about 1/3 on the nose side and 2/3 at the side. True the justification for rule of 1/3 has long been based on the "golden rule of nature", shells etc... but it may be something as simple as how we see. Shut one eye look straight forward at a spot, peripheral vision is 1/3 2/3s. Just a thought outside the accepted box.

Abby, the wine glasses have inspired me. Many artists are know by a repeated theme. A friend and professor of art Richmond Virginia painter frogs on Lilly pads,,, over and over with varriations... like the politician who wore one suite (duplicates) he was recognizable. I will try to photograph wine goblets in many poses... wish me luck.
