There were two trees from the Rectory garden felled which is opposite me so I grabbed some pictures...

I used to do that for a living....
I love what you did with first one...
But that second photo is simply spectacular.....

I used to love to climb, and when I did it we didnt have the assistance of a crane to help us either....gesh kids now-a-days have it so easy....lol

All of them true and catching an aspect of the essence in the event. My attention was disturbed in the first shot by the bucket of the cherry picker (at least what I think it was), which ads nothing anyway. With or without that, it is a very dramatic shot, with excellent composition and center of interest.

Like all things I expect it is health and safety, at least safer for them and there was no risk of the wall being knocked down. My friend has some trees felled and there was no crane but then they would not have been able to get it on to his property as there was only a narrow lane to get to it..

Thank you very much artBob, There was no cherry picker used, Tom climbed the tree and a crane was used to remove the large branches. Picture no 1 is no 4 with some pp work and what I think you to thought was the cherry picker bucket is part of the tree...
