... "Mullein Plant Security" ... ?
Some notes at the bottom of the table (2nd graphic)

There was some image degradation from using optical zoom but a wider angle w/o zooming would have been way too close to the critter and not let the background fall nicely into place.

Love this shot, Dar, and I especially like the hopper's little grin as he spies on you!
CORRECTION: As much as I might have wished for optical zoom on my "flat camera," I meant to say that digital zoom had degraded the quality somewhat. (the effect is more noticeable at full pixel size -- I had submitted a smaller version here) Below is a corrected version of the information graphic. My little hopper buddy and I needed a proof reader yesterday!

Thanks. I thought that "grin" had a bit of Halloween in it -- kinda creepy. The first few times I got the camera up close the antennae moved around as if to figure out what I was up to, but then he settled down and posed while I got a few more clicks in.
I love the whimsy. A great lesson in working that camera angle too
Love this shot! His grin is perfect for Halloween.

great shot, dar...i love the expression on his face!
Grasshoppers made great subjects. They always seem to be eager to pose for the camera.
