Have you tried editing the image by reducing the bottom edge to whatever dimension makes it square? I think that the hair reflection is distracting. This is an opinion and nobody has a monopoly on taste, myself included.

I would crop the bottom just below the bracelet, removing the distracting bright hair at the bottom and her knee. Leave here in this position, slightly right of center to keep the dynamic composition. The face is beautiful and nicely illuminated

With a face like hers and a skillful photographer, nothing but the face has any business in the image. IMHO
Thanks for looking in, J.D..
personally, I like a very close crop, but some folks see it as "too much face in-your-face".
this was just an outing with my great-niece and a couple of lights in the park. not intended to be "studio_portraiture", but something to please her and her mom. Worked for them.
hope the revisions in the subsequent submission will tickle more peoples' fancy.

Beautiful young lady, great lighting, better crop, well done. One smallish thing: The back of the hand is a more masculine pose. Showing the edge of her hand would be better...at least that was one of the rules when I was doing portraits.
yeah, rules can be buggers.
She's trying to hold her hair out of her face in the wind, so that's what we got.
thanks for the looking and commenting.

Beautiful shot. Outstanding clarity.
Just my two cents but I like the original crop the best. Second ones square shape somehow bothers me. But then I am an engineer and we all know we have no taste!!!!
