After Church today, My beautiful bride and I drove over to the Cottee River in our little town here in West Central Florida and I took this photo of her with a Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 lens purchased recently, also able to use my new tripod and remote shutter control.
I am still pretty new at Photography, been shooting for about a year, I shot this in raw, and also cropped to remove a car on the street above the river walk way.
Constructive comments are appreciate, I am an old guy age 72 and anything I can learn helps keep the protein flowing between my remaining two brain cells.
Blessings,
tom
You must have married her as a child. She doesn't look old enough to have been married for fifty years.
50 years, good for you!
50 and still going. Lucky Guy.

Congratulations to you both.
excellent image as is but I'd do a version cropped to the portrait mode and get in even tighter and clone out the tree growing out of her shoulder.
Appreciate the comments,
Thanks, Yes I am as of March of this year we have been married Fifty Years, and have two sons, a daughter and three grandsons.
I have truly been blessed, my bride was a wonderful daughter, is a good wife, mother, grandmother and good friend to many.
Her temperament is of a Wonderful Christian Lady, with a mild patient manner, she is very slow to get upset about anything and is truly a rock in our family.
One guy comment I married her as a child...ha We met in May of 61 just prior to my 21st birthday, She turned 20 0n March 8, 1962. We married two days later on March 10 Fifty years ago. Her family has excellent genes, her mother passed away six years ago in her late 80's and still look as if in her 60's, her Dad passed away on April 15th of this year, he would have been 94 May 1st and looked as if he was in his 70's....
We have an oddity in our family, Sandy's birthday is March 8, our son Steve March 9, our Anniversary March 10, our son Dave March 11th., I am a pauper on March 12th of every year...ha ha
I love taking photos of our family, friends and God's beautiful earth and creatures.
Yes, I am blessed, Thank You
Blessings to all..

Congratulatiobs!! We just celebrated our 50th on a Tahitian cruise a few weeks ago. Now she's spoiled - she'll expect a cruise to French Polynesia every 50 years.

We're in a similar situation, Tom. I upgraded to a Nikon D700 when I retired five years ago. I'm still trying to grow into the camera. It's tough living with a camera that's smarter than me and knows it. Like yourself, my photography is focused on taking pictures of my family. The quality is good put I need to be more creative. I'm from the generation where you just said 'smile' and took the shot. I also purchased Capture NX2 when I bought the camera. I've mastered cropping and am now playing with some of the other tools.
My best to you and your family.
