New computer screen...
I'm wanting to update my computer screen so I can better review my photos. Do any of you have suggestions for this? I have a PC not a Mac.
Any thoughts would be appreciated...moderate price range. Thanks in advance.
I have friend that used a HDMI/USB cable to attach a 40" Sony TV screen to his lap top. The cost was about $129.00. He loves it, I thought it was over kill.

What monitor do you have now? Moderate is a relative term, so what do you mean by moderate in actual $?
I have an HP monitor. As to price it depends on what they're going for and the quality. If I have a few options I'll be able to decide from them.
Black Friday is just around the corner.
At the top of the page click on search then type in computer monitor. You will see quite a few discussions covering about every aspect of the topic.

HP has monitors that go into the thousands of dollars. As high as around $4,000. So mid-range would be around $2,000. Does that sound like your target?
For me it would be expensive, but you seem to be looking for "moderate".
The HP Z4W65A4#ABA Z38c LED-Backlit LCD Monitor Curved 37.5" runs around $1,650.
Check out the ASUS PA238Q. It has four USB 3.0 ports on the side and is color calibrated before it is sent to you.
Dell is rated highly but working around hundreds of Dell products at my Federal job site, I dont believe in their trustworthiness. Anything with Dell on it was constantly breaking down. (Just my experience)
I myself have the ASUS PA238Q and am very happy with it. It is a nice size without being to large. Excellent color and perfect for post production.
That should be PA248Q. (around 300.00 at B and H)

First you need to find out what kind of graphics is on your system. If your system has some age to it you might need to upgrade the graphics in order to get any real benefit from a new monitor.

Good point. It may not even be a monitor issue. It might be a graphics card issue. Of course if we knew what monitor the OP actually has instead of just the brand, it would be easier to evaluate.
I also want a bigger screen for viewing...it's not all about the color scheme. Mine is a 14"...does anyone have an idea as to what size
screen would be better?
